Call For Clarinet Players Of The New Millennium

The Artistic Director of the 14th European Clarinet Congress in Katowice, Poland, to be held from October 27 to 30, 2026, is offering a young clarinetist the opportunity to perform a composition for clarinet and string orchestra in one of the festival's gala concerts and receive a €1.500 scholarship.

The composition to be performed is:

Antonio Fraioli – Divagazioni (2025) for clarinet and string orchestra.

Clarinetists from all over the world born on or after January 1, 2000, are eligible to apply to perform at the concert.

To apply, candidates must submit a video performance of Divagazioni by Antonio Fraioli in the version for clarinet and piano. The video must be submitted by September 3, 2026. It must be uploaded as an unlisted YouTube link and sent to call_clarinetplayers@libero.it.

The recording must be made in single shot, without cuts or edits. Along with the video link, candidates must provide their full name, nationality and a copy of an identity document certifying their date of birth, as well an email address for future contact. The subject of the email must be "Call for clarinet players."

There is no entry fee.

The jury evaluating the videos will communicate the results to the selected soloist by September 25, 2026. The selected clarinetist will then receive all the information regarding the concert and rehearsals with the string orchestra.

The jury will be chaired by Antonio Fraioli (Italy), composer of Divagazioni ( www.antoniofraioli.org ) and will include Lara Diaz (Spain) and Agnieszka Dąbrowska-Kras (Poland).

The clarinetist selected to perform during the festival will receive a €1.500 scholarship.
